The water toys are available for your enjoyment, but some may require specific training or a license to operate. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to consult the Captain beforehand.
Most yacht toys are simple and easy to use. However, if you’re unfamiliar with equipment like a Sea Bob or Jet Ski, don’t hesitate to ask the crew for a quick demonstration before heading out. They’ll be glad to assist you.
Soft, foldable luggage is the ideal choice for packing, as it can be easily stowed away. While guest staterooms are elegantly designed, storage space is often limited, making hardshell luggage more challenging to accommodate.

A preference sheet is a comprehensive form completed by guests on a crewed yacht charter to share personal preferences, including details about food, beverages, and any medical conditions or disabilities the crew should be aware of. Guests are encouraged to specify food allergies, favorite drinks, and preferred activities or itinerary interests in detail.
Although sometimes seen as an administrative task, the preference sheet is the cornerstone of an exceptional charter experience. It ensures your vacation is tailored to your tastes, with a well-stocked bar featuring your favorite drinks and meals thoughtfully designed to exceed your expectations.
Whether you’d like to dine ashore one evening or enjoy a beach barbecue for lunch, simply note it on the sheet, and the crew will bring your vision to life.
The captain will craft an itinerary that aligns with your preferences, while the crew will plan engaging water or land-based excursions, experiences, and activities to ensure everyone has an unforgettable time.
You will receive the preference sheet prior to your charter. Please complete it as soon as possible and return it to your charter broker at least one month before your departure.

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers all running expenses incurred during the charter, such as transport, fuel, food and drink supplies, berthing dues, harbor charges, agency fees, and any additional equipment requested. Typically, the APA is calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee, depending on the yacht. At the conclusion of the charter, the captain will provide the charterer with a detailed breakdown of all expenses. Any unused APA will be refunded, while any costs exceeding the APA will be settled between the charterer and the owner at the end of the charter.
Any unused credit on the APA account at the end of the charter will be refunded.
While charter cost estimates are generally accurate, there’s always the possibility of exceeding your budget during the trip. If your expenses surpass the initial APA payment, you can add funds either in cash onboard or via wire transfer to the yacht’s account. The captain will provide regular updates throughout the charter, and any outstanding costs must be settled before you disembark.
The charter rate includes the yacht, crew services, and all essential equipment, with marine risk insurance coverage. However, the rate excludes VAT, provisioning, fuel, communication expenses, canal fees, harbor dues, local taxes, specific marina fees, delivery and return fees, as well as any costs associated with embarking or disembarking at a location different from the yacht’s home port.
Under MYBA terms, the charter fee includes only the hire of the yacht and its crew. All additional expenses are the responsibility of the chartering party. To manage these expenses, an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is required to cover costs such as provisioning, fuel, mooring, and legal fees. Any unused APA will be refunded, while any expenses exceeding the APA will be settled between the charterer and the owner at the end of the charter. The APA is typically calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee. Charterers should also take into account VAT and potential gratuities for the crew when planning their budget.
