Is there a Wi F/Internet on board?

Yes, we have High Performance Wi-Fi 6 onboard. Our system utilizes Starlink for internet access 200MB Download Speed / 1TB Bandwidth (Primary Internet Source), MIMO 5G Dome (Secondary Internet Source) and VSat (Backup Internet source).

What about the electricity on Board?

The electrical system on board operates at the standard European voltage of 220 volts. Each cabin is equipped with sockets featuring two round pins and integrated USB chargers. Adapters are conveniently provided in every room.

What facilities are available at the Salon?

The beauty salon is thoughtfully designed to provide guests with a personalized experience. The space features nail station, a pedicure station, and a hair station, all arranged with care for your comfort and convenience.

I am a vegetarian or have a special dietary request, do you cater for me?

Our onboard chef is happy to accommodate vegetarians and travelers with special dietary needs. If you have any food allergies, please inform us in advance with specific details on the preference sheet. This will allow the chef to plan accordingly and ensure your needs are met.

Is there Satellite TV on Board?

Yes, we have Satellite TV with most international channels available.

How many people can be seated in the cinema room?

The cinema room can accommodate up to 8 people.

Is there a Medical Center on board the yacht?

While we wish you an enjoyable and relaxing stay free from any unforeseen illness, M/Y Marquise is equipped with a medical observation and treatment room for your peace of mind.  Complete with a registered nurse on demand, medical equipment and essential medications; it’s reassuring to know that this vessel is prepared to deal with a range of on-board medical scenarios.

Can I wear shoes onboard?

Yacht decks are typically crafted from teak, a material that can be easily damaged by heels and heavy footwear. Many yachts enforce a ‘barefoot’ policy to preserve the integrity of the flooring. If you prefer to wear shoes, soft-soled boat shoes are permitted.

Is there a safety box (Safe) in all the rooms?

Yes.

What video conferencing equipment is available in the Office/Business Center?

The office is equipped with a Crestron 4K Video Conferencing & Wireless Presentations system (Microsoft Teams®, Zoom™ or BYOD).

Am I allowed to smoke onboard on the yacht?

Marquise is a 100% drug-free and smoke-free vessel. However, at the captain’s discretion, cigarette/Cigar smoking may be permitted in designated outdoor areas. IQOS and electric smoking devices are permitted onboard, ensuring safety and comfort for all guests. Please consult with the crew for approved smoking areas and guidelines.

Am I Allowed to have pets onboard the yacht?

Although we love and cherish animals, for the safety and comfort of everyone onboard, we have a strict No Pets or Animals Allowed policy during the charter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe environment for all guests and crew.

What’s the minimum age requirement to sail?

Marquise is pleased to welcome children aged six months or older at the start of the voyage. For itineraries that include three or more consecutive days at sea, children must be at least one year old. Additionally, any guest under 18 years must be accompanied by a guardian for the entirety of their stay on board.

Am I allowed to use the watersport and scuba diving equipment?

To utilize the yacht’s SCUBA diving equipment, if available, a certified PADI license or equivalent is necessary. For guests without the required certifications, our team can often arrange for an instructor to join the yacht during your charter. Marquise is also a certified personal watercraft training center (RYA Training Center).

How many people are allowed on board?

The yacht can accommodate up to 30 guests for overnight stays. While cruising, it can host up to 36 guests.

Can I invite friends on the yacht?

We encourage you to entertain guests during your charter, but kindly inform the crew in advance if you plan to invite friends on board. Providing the crew with sufficient notice allows them to prepare and ensure you have the best possible experience.

Can I hold a party on board?

Charterers are welcome to host events on board, but they must comply with regulations regarding the maximum number of guests allowed at any time and be mindful of local rules concerning noise levels and event hosting. A security deposit may be required by the yacht to cover any potential damages during the charter. Marquise is also available for high-profile events such as the Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival, MIPIM, and Venice Film Festival.

Do I need a lifejacket?

You should always wear a lifejacket when using the toys onboard. While it may be tempting to hop straight onto the nearest Jet Ski, prioritizing safety is essential. The crew will gladly supply lifejackets in various sizes to ensure everyone stays safe and secure while enjoying the water.

Are any areas off-limits on luxury charter yachts?

Please refrain from entering crew areas without prior permission. Upon embarkation, the Captain or First Officer will conduct a safety briefing to ensure you understand how to stay safe on board. For your own safety, take the time to familiarize yourself with the information provided about lifejackets and the lifeboat drill.

How does the charter agreement work?

Once you decide to proceed, contact your preferred broker, who will provide you with a standard MYBA charter agreement for signature. If your selected cruise route involves embarking or disembarking at a location other than the yacht’s home port (Athens, Greece), delivery and redelivery fees may apply.

What is a preference sheet?

A preference sheet is a comprehensive form completed by guests on a crewed yacht charter to share personal preferences, including details about food, beverages, and any medical conditions or disabilities the crew should be aware of. Guests are encouraged to specify food allergies, favorite drinks, and preferred activities or itinerary interests in detail.

 

Although sometimes seen as an administrative task, the preference sheet is the cornerstone of an exceptional charter experience. It ensures your vacation is tailored to your tastes, with a well-stocked bar featuring your favorite drinks and meals thoughtfully designed to exceed your expectations.

 

Whether you’d like to dine ashore one evening or enjoy a beach barbecue for lunch, simply note it on the sheet, and the crew will bring your vision to life.

 

The captain will craft an itinerary that aligns with your preferences, while the crew will plan engaging water or land-based excursions, experiences, and activities to ensure everyone has an unforgettable time.

When do I have to fill it out the preference sheet?

You will receive the preference sheet prior to your charter. Please complete it as soon as possible and return it to your charter broker at least one month before your departure.

Can I select which day of the week the charter will start?

Yes, you can select the starting date for your charter, subject to the yacht’s availability.

How long can I charter a yacht for?

The duration of a yacht charter is flexible and depends on the yacht’s availability. While most charters are booked for one or several weeks, Marquise does offer daily rentals or options for special events.

What travel documents are required for boarding the yacht?

Each guest boarding the yacht must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the voyage’s end date. Visa and passport requirements depend on the destination, and it is the responsibility of each guest to obtain the necessary travel and health documents before the voyage begins.

Can I use all amenities on the yacht?

Yes, you are allowed to use all amenities on the yacht and enjoy it as if it was your own.

How can I book my charter?

To book your charter, we recommend contacting your preferred broker, who can assist with reservations and guide you through the booking process.

What is Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)?

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers all running expenses incurred during the charter, such as transport, fuel, food and drink supplies, berthing dues, harbor charges, agency fees, and any additional equipment requested. Typically, the APA is calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee, depending on the yacht. At the conclusion of the charter, the captain will provide the charterer with a detailed breakdown of all expenses. Any unused APA will be refunded, while any costs exceeding the APA will be settled between the charterer and the owner at the end of the charter.

What if we don’t use the full APA?

Any unused credit on the APA account at the end of the charter will be refunded.
